who are you?
my name is jude; i'm a 26-year-old currently living in massachusetts. i'm a pisces sun, taurus moon, libra rising, and i am unequivocally the miranda of my friend group. i'm a terrible journaller but i'm working to get into the habit of it. nearly every day i drink a cup of over-steeped green tea with one packet of splenda, and i wear platform boots to make myself look taller. i believe in single-use devices, witchcraft, and crossword puzzles. i used to be afraid of thunderstorms but i'm not anymore.
my favorite things include: fiber arts, early 2000s tv and movies, fall out boy, "the great wave off kanagawa" by hokusai, reading giant novels, and blind box dolls.

why "geothermalescapism"?
"geothermal escapism" is the fourth episode of season five of community. in this episode, abed nadir struggles to cope with his best friend, troy barnes, moving away, and announces a game of the floor is lava to the entire student body of greendale community college. abed tells troy at the end of the game that he was going to miss him so badly that it felt like the floor was actually lava; that it was dangerous and that he had to hide away without his best friend. i see a lot of myself in abed as a character, and i think this episode speaks to how my own heart works.
